We will explore how we can work collaboratively with our subject to achieve a portrait that captures their personality and style in a more relaxed and organic manner. Technical learning points will include accurate focusing and metering for skin tones. We will also look at posing and setting your subject at ease.

In this workshop, we're going to be exploring headshot photography and some of my best tips on how to use good light, neutral backgrounds and framing. We'll be covering the theory of lighting scenarios and techniques such as direct light, backlighting and shade.

Come along to our meetups to improve your art in a relaxed and social atmosphere and under the guidance of a professional instructor. Complete beginners to experienced artists all welcome.

Our 2 hour meetups are held in a different location each time, usually outdoors.

Bring your own materials. If you are a complete beginner all you need to start is a set of watercolour paints, brushes, and water container.

Who can attend? Open to all skill levels, from beginners to experienced artists. The instructor is there to help everyone.

I painted this piece to exemplify atmospheric landscapes with both energy and tranquility,
