Title or Location: Through the Bush!
I painted a wash of greys and a little brown. I used my brush to outline the elephant with negative painting. I used a stencil and watercolour pencil sanded over it to make the bush areas. Starting at the eyes helps with measuring the position of other parts of the elephant.

I painted this for a challenge posted on the Art by Paul Clark FB group page. The reference photo was taken in Devonshire, England. I used a Bee Paper sketchbook and miscellaneous paints. I?ve been working on learning dry brush technique in watercolor for a while I I think I?ve finally mastered it as evidence by the trees in this one.
